Super 8, the new film brought to you by JJ Abrams, is a science fiction thriller seen through the eyes of an adolescent and his friends. The movie is more coming-of-age and has a lot more common with ET than the action packed sci-fi fims we see today, well at least from an emotional viewpoint and the fact that in this case the alien is way more hostile. Not to say that the movie lacks action, there are plenty of that there. Lots of explosion and cool special effects to keep you on the edge of your seat, but the beauty of the film are the quiet scenes, the moments of absolute wonder something which reaches out to you and reminds you of your childhood particularly boys, during idyllic summers where you used to pretend that you were off in some adventure. Which this boys in the film didn't had to conjure up, in fact they stumble through it. Watch the film, it is not your typical blockbuster, like ET it has heart to it and you won't regret it...
